Yes, it has existed since the first builds rolled off the line in 2010.
Epic posted the first video.

My 'buzz' does not come from the transmission area. I have crawled under there and listened for it. My 'buzz' is from a boxed unit mounted to the firewall.

The "meep" noise comes from the transmission pan.
The "buzz" noise comes from the turbo area (below that black plastic cover on top of the engine).

I decided to record the new buzz noise I hear now.
This was with the key inserted into the ignition (off position, not turned).
Be warned I shut my door at 0:07 but it it sounds like I slammed it if you're speakers are turned up.
At 0:30 in the video, a new noise appears.
The remaining video is a minute and a half of the three noises (the third noise being the "meep" in the background every 13 seconds until I remove the key).

I don't know what it's preparing by simply inserting the key.

screws themself arent bad. what really SUCKS is the small left over sheet metal spirals around the screws that are a product of the manufacturing process. i got most of em out when new, but there was still a few left. got em all today, at the expense of a nice slice on my pointer finger. price of doing business i guess.

At least a clean trailer lasts longer these days without covering the right front corner in black.

Kper05. I was told by the transmission designing engineer, that the only time the trans should make as you put it the meep noise is when just inserting key.and that should be just a faint noise. He about crapped when he heard the trans meep and or buzz for hours on end. And sometimes continue for days.it was never resolved.

It was something I was hoping the new solenoids and flash would fix but it didn't.
Was that something your white truck did and your red one is fine or do you have the same experience with your red one?

Did he give any hint what component causes the noise?
There is nothing wrong other than causing us owners to wonder what are the long term effects.
