1952 F1 Rebirth
It's me again, Clayton the lurker. I've been tooling around with the '52 thought it's be a good time for a build/vent thread.
Coming up on 10 years having the truck off the road. In the last 10 years I decided to install a Volare style front suspension mainly for the disk brakes, then I tried to put in an EFI 3.8/AOD to replace the gas hungry 390, after fitment issues now there is a 5.0 sitting between the rails. I then decided to channel the truck about 4.5" to put the bottom of the cab on top of the running boards. All of this while moving, marrying, moving some more, having a baby (my wife that is), and buying a home. I found out our roof was rotten so I decided it was time for a truck that runs for projects like this. While working on the $500 1971 stepside I started getting really interested in getting the '52 project moving again.
So here I am with a Volare IFS in a 1952 F1. A '52 that was channed 4.5" so the only wheels made that won't interfere with the fenders when you turn are the street racer looking alloy wheels and it just about make me want to vomit. I guess it's time for me to follow in the footsteps of our darksider forefathers and replace it with a mustang II front suspension!
I'm not really thrilled about it but it's for the best. I'll try and start posting some pictures too.
