When the day comes, and I am focusing on the steering wheel...that should be a good day! I wonder what year that will be?
Thanks AX !

Guys i've just bought the grant boss kit for my 56 .
Grant kit is number 4257 , and i have confirmed with Grants it's the correct one .
My question is has anyone had any trouble actually fitting the boss to their column ?
It is way to tight , and it doesn't even go on far enough to fit the retainer nut .
The spline on my column is ok , and i have actually tried it on a 53 column as well , but to no avail .
The only way i could get it on is to bash it on using a BIG hammer , and i'm not going to do that .
Any ideas ?

steering wheel adapter?
Wondering whether you ever found something satisfactory to work? My application is a '50 Ford F1 with stock column but it has a little (13 inch)Grant wheel that somebody put on a long time ago. I just want a bit larger diameter wheel so in looking I see all kinds of different bolt patterns....3, 5, 8, etc....the little Grant wheel I have on now has a 8 bolt pattern....but I don't know what adapter I need....except guys on here are saying on the one hand a Grant # 4257 adapter/kit is the one for Ford F1 trucks but then on the other hand say that these don't fit worth a crap. Any feedback from you side?

Has Anyone established which grant adapter actually works? I bought #4267 for my 51 F1 because that's what Summits site said was the correct one but it's a no go, not surprising though as the reviews on summit are filled with comments of the correct adapters not fitting.
It does fit my old grant wheel but coming up short on the column

All steering wheel adapters I'm familiar with are for putting an aftermarket steering wheel on an original column. You might be able to find a more modern steering wheel that looks like an old one and fits a GM column.
