List of tools required for pulling valve covers and injectors?
I am at work and am getting sent home early so figured now would be the time to ask you all if there is a list of tools required to pull the valve covers and injectors?
ALL of my tools are at work so trying to grab them up before I head home.

An assortment of 8mm, 10mm, 11mm, and 13mm sockets, wrenches, extensions, and swivels will do the trick. A small pry or crow bar for popping up the injectors is a plus. A low increment torque wrench capable of at least 10 ft-lbs up and a small pair of vise grip pliers if you have trouble with the stud that holds the oil dipstick tube. A piece of 1/4" ID tubing is also helpful to thread the glow plugs back in the holes. I almost forgot. And, a 24mm socket and 1/2'' drive ratchet for the crank bolt to turn the engine over by hand.

This isnt exactly what you asked, but related; there is a good how-to in Diesel Power magazine this month on how to remove/replace injector sleeves in the 7.3L. Problem is they skip the part of removing the VCs, heads, solenoids, and injectors. This is a procedure that I may want to tackle one day, but I was a little disappointed when they skipped all that.

Its a fairly easy project just time consuming. Make sure you read up. Doesn't hurt to print stuff out so you don't have to run back to the computer.

Ya I printed them, wasnt NEAR as bad as people made it sound, had all the injectors out in under 3hrs and I was in NO rush....helped that I got sent home early I guess, even though I was a bit ticked I wasnt getting all the overtime I was expecting for truck repairs and that I wasted gas to go to work for 2.5 hrs....
Thank you all for all the help!

Truck was blowing alot of white smoke so the guys on here suspected a broken injector tip, so figured since I am going to pull them all and check them out I might as well order all new o-rings, good cheap preventative maintenance....and at 172+ miles on original injectors in my opinion they were due o rings.

I am currently trying to get better fuel mileage and figure out my boost loss. I was told possibly injector o-rings or HPOP as I do not have any boost/exhaust leaks

Thanks, I was just curious. My truck has about 190K, probably due as well, but I am just going to hold off a couple months and do stage 1's.
