Well, I made it 635 miles out of 1200 today and am in a motel now. I'm not used to motels because of having a camper all these years. Tomorrow night I'll be in the new camper checking it out. Just me and my dog! The old OX is just itching to get another load on, LOL.
It'll be nice to finally get the truck back out and really give it hell. 4wd swap has to happen before I can drive it, but hopefully that won't take too long. Can't wait to unleash the new setup. Going with 450/400 injectors and gonna go to an externally gated S475. I'll detune it to hopefully keep it around 600hp until I can build a billet rod motor.

14mpg at 75mph. I have 15 tunes on my hydra and couldn't find a economy tune Oh well, I hardly ever run light!

Oh, forgot to mention, twenty miles out of town this morning I couldn't see out of my rear window. I stopped and was rearranging stuff and noticed out of the corner of my eye I was moving!! WTF, I was in park! I played with it some then crawled under. The shift cable worked its way out of the bracket so I shoved it back in, used a little screw driver and made sure the plastic tabs were spread out to stop it from working its way out again. Used two zip ties for 'just in case', LOL.

I've owned these trucks for over ten years and that's the best I've ever gotten with all three of them. Lucky I guess!

I sure know that other project aint gettin no love.
Cant keep nutin a secret on here! Lol. I got a 6637 and fuel filter for the 7.3 Ex. With the 6637, I can hear the wastegate blow off boost. That was fun playing with on the trip to MD this weekend lol.

On a side note, my readouts were saying 22 mpg. Hand calculated I was getting 18... I know theyre "lie-o-meters" but theyre usually closer than that! My Harley truck was within 1 mpg

They're pretty hefty. Lol. It's going to be interesting seeing how far I can push the stock bottom end and for how long.

As long as you've got that super duty and a trailer towing it it will be interesting. If you decide to drive the OBS to a track far away, that's when you'll get windows installed in the block and it will no longer be interesting.

At least that's how my luck works.

Third time better be a charm Phil!

Well, I made the 1200 mile trip in two days and I'm sitting in the 5er now. These people plugged it in and told me to spend the night here, nice! Even gave me their wireless access code. I'll take some pictures tomorrow and be on my way! Anxious to see how it pulls and I'm taking my time getting home!!

It won't get driven to any tracks if I'm racing it. That's for sure. I'll take it on the street for light drives only and prolly within 20 miles of home. Main goal is to keep it alive til the built engine is ready, but once it hits the track and roy's 12v super duty is beside me I'm sure I'll be arming a nitrous switch. Lol
