Hmmm. Good to know. Maybe I won't go that route after all...

Evening fellas.

Been scrambling along to get my show truck in order - spent the weekend ripping off the bed with the rotted out floor to get ready for its replacement. So much to do - so little time to do it.

Hi bill. I know all about it. I've been trying to get equipment sorted out all week. If I get a good sunny patch I'll be cutting first cut and then get ready to plant.

Hey Nick. Yeah, it's crunch time. Bed came off last night, got a ton of prep for paint on the frame done today since I'm changing stuff, and should get the paint laid tomorrow. New bed hopefully goes on next weekend, then I can send it to the body shop for the paint on the bed itself. Not good enough to handle that part of it here myself.

FWIW I am still running 2 of the spicer joints I originally installed. They seem fine. The front most started giving me trouble almost immediately though.

I paid more for the chinese spicers than I did for the American Orielleys too...

The front one (the odd one) is the only one I really need to do something with, the two at the transfer case are still good and tight. I pulled it apart yesterday, and it's a good thing I did because I would have bought the wrong u-joint if I hadn't. The one in the front is the odd one with 2 different sized caps on it.

I'm really tempted to just get something locally now instead of ordering a Spicer joint online and waiting several days for it to show up. it would be nice to get this done and have it back together.

It would have to be a dually conversion because the duallys didn't have the molding down the sides. That was probably a single wheel CC converted to dually.

Maybe that was my problem. The parts guy at car quest is usually very knowledgeable but he got me 3 with the same part number...

Either way, twice a much for chinese isn't what I like to buy anymore.

On the road again, just can't wait to have a flat again, especially one that tears up the camper again! Sorry ***** Nelson, I just destroyed your song! LOL

Four to five years without a flat because of the independent suspension I got put on, I guess I was due. Yesterday it was a failed converter while I was trying to pack. Batteries were down to 9.5v, I got lucky to find one on a Sat but got ripped off bad, oh well. The joys of RVing!
