the official OBS diesel off topic thread
Okay, so I had a dream last night that my EGTs starting climbing up too fast. I let off the throttle but they kept climbing! They went all the way to 1600 and stayed there for several seconds with my foot off the throttle! I was so worried and knew my truck must have had damage. Later on in my dream, I think I was in Hawaii on top of some mountain and I was able to fly (like superman) around. However, I was still so worried that my truck was damaged I wasn't in a good mood.
When I woke up this morning and drove back to my house, I kept a close eye on my EGT gauge. I still felt worried about it! Thankfully it was just a dream!

Haha naw I don't smoke anything! My power was out all day yesterday and some of last night. I got bad sleep the night before from the humidity and heat with no AC so maybe it caught up to me!
Having no power in the summer can be pretty unexciting!

Haha yeah I know it's true! The humidity percent was reported to be in the 90s during the time out power was out!
It doesn't last long, but it can get pretty humid with the mosoons! I couldn't stand to live somewhere inhabitable like Alabama where it's always humid no matter what's gong on. I was there once, and I may have to go again... but I'm not going to live there that's for sure! The trees are nice though...

I ordered an air filter cleaning kit and a thermostat today at the last min for the rre trip. Sadly I could not get one piece from our favorite vendor as it was out of stock at this moment. Well another vendor had both so I had to go with them weather I liked it or not. Well all I can say is I took one in the keyster. The parts were competively priced but shipping from Arizona to Indiana was 28.82 !!! Really? I don't want to own my own brown truck, just get a small package delivered..sheesh that just seems higher than brontosaurus beaver....
Been working on my truck this week, making sure she's ready for the trwk to RRE and back. Did the front brakes. Checked the back and one side was down to the rivets, so replaced them. While buttoning that up, looked around a little and what did I see?
