Good Machine Shops in the KC Area?

1- Does anybody know of any GOOD machine shops in the KC area? I would prefer one closer to the Kansas side if possible to reduce travel time since I will probably have to make several trips

2- Do you guys know of a good engine balance shop in the KC area?

3- Does anyone know of a good dyno tune shop in the KC area?

I 've used a few shops but not one I'd recommend. The only place I get decent work done I have to go sit on the guy or he'll take forever. For every place somebody recommends I find somebody else who has had a problem there. Let us know if you find a good machine shop.

If you are still looking for a good machine shop contact Clay County Rebuilders in Claycomo, Mo. 816-454-0932. They have a pretty extensive machine shop and from what I have heard and seen do really good work. They are located about 1 mile east of I-35 on Vivion Rd. Look for the modified class race car hanging on the building Shops in the rear

They were recommended to me also by Midwest Motorsports

Clay County Engine Rebuilders

Are they located about a mile west of the Ford plant?

Does anybody know if Midwest Motorsports is still in operation? They had mostly Cheby stuff but some Ford and a lot of Fabrication goodies for making your own stuff.

Their old website does not list the KC store.

Sorry took so long- Clay Country rebuilders is about 1 mile west of the Ford Plant, as you head west on Vivion Rd. you'll see Showtime Trucks , then Clarks tools Outlet, -2 building up from Clarks you'll see the race car on the side of the building- shops in the back.
