finished my power steering/brake swap
I just finished my swap and after I lower it from the stands I have a horrible toe out as well as a camber problem, like I cut coils(which I didnt). I realize I will have to do an alignment, but what about the camber issue. My parts truck is a 78 f150, I counted the coils and the 78 had 10 where my 68 only has 9. What I would like to do is put the original equipment back on and still run the power brakes, but with drums instead. Will this be an issue besides the perches? Also, where do I look to tighten up the steering?

You can't go by coil count, it has to be by installed height. Plenty of guys have done the conversion and I've never heard of problems. Did you use the 78 springs? Might need to use the stiffer 68 springs.
How is the steering box? New/rebuilt? Used? There is a screw w/jam nut on the top. Loosen the nut and screw the adjuster down 1/4 turn, maybe 1/2? Hold screw and tighten jam nut. This should take up some of the slop. Not sure how worn out the box is? Make take more turns? Don't bottom it out.

Did ya roll the truck forward and back (like 5 feet) after ya lowered it off the stands?
Doing so would take the bind out of the suspension system and let the parts take a natural a set. At that point you could do a rough alignment and better evaluate the camber issue.
.. roll it back and forward each time after adjusting the tie rod sleeves. Then re-measure. Aim for 1/8-inch toe in.

The only thing that isnt new is the kingpins as far as the suspension goes, I used my 68 springs. I drove it down the road and heard the tires whining, so on goes the 68 suspension cause that has all new kingpins and rebuilt drum brakes from PO. The gearbox is a ford unit, not sure the condition of it.
