Took my pickup sledding a couple weeks ago and on the way up the mountain it started getting hot so i pulled over and cooled it down an noticed that there was anti-freeze on the ground. So i cracked the cap and the tank was under an extreme amount of pressure then it should be. so i added coolant on once again blew it out. So i hauled it home. i dumped the oil and noticed it was a little grey so i changed it and let it si at high idle for five minutes once again pressure in the coolant tank and the oil was almost like chocolate mMilk. I installed new head gaskets and studs and now i have that pressurizing the coolant system problem fixed but is still getting water in the Oil! where do i go from here?
I'd probably start with rebuilding the oil cooler...easy and inexpensive to rebuild. It certainly could be something much more serious, but trying the easy things first is the approach I take. Here is a thread on the rebuild...
Im having that checked right now and i have even pulled the water pump to see if i had cavitation that coulda worn a pin hole in the front cover but all is good.
Well i had the oil cooler checked and it was bad and so i installed the new one and it is still pumping coolant into the oil. Drove 5.8 miles and lost 3 quarts. All went into the oil! Where could i look or what could cause this?
Found it today by pressurizing that block with the pan off and the block is cracked right above the main bearing into the very bottom of the cylinder! SO need help locating a block!
