replaced windshield and now have torn weather seals
Had my windshield replaced and the end seals on the cowl are broke and torn. I called Ford and I have to buy the whole cowl..about 100.00. It looks like the end piece will snap in to the cowl so does anyone know if a company just makes the ends so I don't have to replace the whole cowl. thanks in advance

Someone had a post not too long ago saying that their cowl stuck up on the ends and that the tabs were broken. Dano is right the end result of that thread ended up being buy a new cowl from the dealer or find one in a junkyard. In that thread, we even discussed trying to screw down the outer edges, but concluded that there really wasn't a good way to do that.

Was the cowl intact prior to the windshield install? I infer that it was.
Was the install done at a professional shop?
Was the install done by a mobile shop?
Who removed the cowl? Whomever removed it should be responsible for it.
Used parts yard will be the most economical.
I had a windshield replaced in my Taurus and the XM radio antenna was damaged.
It was replaced at the expense of the glass shop.

Glad I found this thread before i threw out this question to the board.. just discovered mine have the clips broken at the end closest to the windshield, so they were a bit loose. in my effort to get a part number off the bottom I frigg'n broke it into two pieces. contacted a dealer that i have bought many parts from online. $65 for each side and yeap the piece is PIA to the cowl.. DAMN.
i hate seeing that huge hole now and will likely buy the replacements.
crappy material for the application if you ask me.
