I have the exact same symptoms on my 2008 ford f250
I have the exact same symptoms on my 2008 ford f250 superduty 5.4, before doing anything to my truck i would like to know if you could share your experience with the problem you had last year and what was the solution to the problems, thanks in advance.

My solution
I recently had the same symptoms with my truck and it turned out to be a water pump going bad. Go figure, it hadn't even begun to leak around the gasket yet. I replaced it and the truck runs like new. If you can replace it yourself like I did it should cost less than $50. A shop could be anywhere from $150-350.
