Which DPFE Alum or Plastic? Ford or Motorcraft?

My DPFE is throwing codes (insufficient and excessive flow). I cleared it without changing it (had the codes read andf cleared and have been doing other work on it since). Want to order a DPFE sensor, but cannot decide on a DPFE15 plastic one from Motorcraft or a 9J460 from Ford.

I read somewhere that the plastic replacements aren't as good, but I doubt that.

What I want to know is whether the 9J460 #'s have been superceded by the plastic Motorcraft part# DPFE15? Ford Parts shows the 9J460, Motorcraft Service shows the same, but also shows DPFE15 and 9J460 is an inquire within listing 0$ for the price.

The 9j460 is the base part number for all DPFEs and it will update to the plastic one in the parts catalog. The plastic ones are better than the old style metal ones.
