Any other interferences that we should look out for? What are your plans for headers? Any issues with getting the steering shaft past the motor mounts or headers?
Thanks
Scott

I am going to use an aftermarket harness too.

Thanks

I will be doing under floor booster, and column shift.

I am doing the Lokar cable shift (aca-1804) for my GM tranny (on the red 56), and I hope to do a similar thing for the 4r70w. Lokar doesn't make one specifically for this tranny,, but the difference is only the arm at the tranny,
and I should be able to make one to match. I'll give them a call (next week is travel again)

I plan on using the sanderson headers as well.. and don't see any issues at the moment.. don't have them yet, so can't tell exactly.

I don't see any other issues at the moment.

Man you guys have some great idea's.
Scott that is also a great idea for the fuel pump. I did save the tank from the car so it may work out. Any idea what fuel tank you are using? I have the lincoln irs in mine so I think I will need a small tank.

I am thinking about 2 narrow tanks, one on each side of the drive shaft. I would connect the 2 tanks so I only have to run one in tank fuel pump. I am running the Tbird IRS. I am reluctant to place the tank in the rear because I would really like to carry a spare.

That is my main concern. I plan on dumping the exhaust out by the running boards. You run out of space quickly!

Hey Scott,
On the question about centering the engine - We had our's an inch or two toward the passenger side to give more room for the steering & exhaust to clear on the driver's side. It get's super tight there - we needed all the room we could get - So.... Kind of centered but cheating a little over toward the passenger side.

You also need to plan out the front clearance as well. Our's got real tight between the engine & the radiator. We used a very slim electric fan & still
barely made it fit. (We put a 351W in our truck).

these engines were designed for electric fans, so the pulleys are very short. leaving lots of room.. I think my testfit showed about 4 inches of clearance.

Hey Scott,
Disregard my engine note above - brain cramps - not relevant to
the 4.6 DOHC you are running.
