What's your Avg. & Highest Stock Turbo PSI ?

My mildly tuned Eric's I.Diesel tuning. will hit 21 - 22 but nothing more.

Is this a sign of coking and carbon or normal?

Any advice is appreciated.

Average? I run betweel 0-2 on surface roads and 0-8 on the freeway.

I can hit 26psi on flat ground unloaded if I try.
Its easier when on a hill or loaded.

Early 99 with original wicked wheel was getting 17 psi max. Now with new compressor wheel I have seen 19 psi.

So is the normal operating range in the low 20's for an 05 6.0 w/120K on the clock?

Does programming play a part in how much boost is generated?

Are you seeing those numbers in the stock tune also? I'm pretty sure that reading is going to be inaccurate when you have a tune installed.

I don't know, why would I run the stock tune, other than to test this.
I vaguely remember it never going past 20.

My stock 2003 will hit 27-28 as measured on my Isspro boost gauge.

26 to 28 should be the safe max on any stock 6.0. Flat level ground on the highway at 70 I will run about 5 psi. Punch it and I get about 22. Put the fifth wheel on it and I approach the 26 to 28 mark. The gauges are kind of iffy in this range. Refering to the marks and lack of numbers in this area of the gauge.
