Kit went on today. 1 eom rancho still had a little "opening" peer left in it of 4 with 6700 miles on them. I knew they were toast. The new Carli kit is amazing with the wheel tire combo. Need to throw it around tomorrow and then check everything and then I'll detail it and include pics on a new thread this weekend. I'm going to make a new thread with pics so its self explanatory and searchable.

 

I got my new Bilstein 5100s in today. Install time was about 2 hours without removing any tires and leaving the truck on the ground. I was "shocked" at the condition of the factory Ranchos. The rears still had some life left but were very slow to rebound. The fronts were completely shot, one would rebound about 1-2 inches from full compression and the other had zero rebound. I compressed both fronts, left for a test drive and returned about 30 minutes later to find both in the same position. I would recommend a shock upgrade to anyone who is running on the Ranchos. A big THANK YOU to Big Sarge for posting his video and all of the others who performed this upgrade and posted their results on FTE. Without that info I would have known no better and just lived with the ride. My truck now rides and handles better than I would have ever imagined for a 3/4 ton 4X4.

 

I guess that begs the question of whether to go with the adjustable rancho 9000 XL or Bilstein 5100.

 

Based on what I've read on here and my results, I think either is a wise investment over the stock Rancho.

 

I have replaced the ranchos on 4 fx4s (mine). I have used Bilstein and now Fox. The reason I did not go with the Rancho 9000 is not because it's not good but because they allowed Ford to use their cache in the industry to charge through the nose for substandard parts. They make a lot of money licensing their name and people who trusted the Rancho name in the 90's got hoodwinked and now they get no more of my money. But...whatever is clever

Can you help with part numbers for a set up Bilstein 5100 front/rear shocks to go on 2013 F-350 4x4 FX4 with 6.7L diesel?

Note: I have 2" leveling kit up front and rear airbags.

These part numbers don't appear to be for a truck that's been slightly lifted. Are you sure these are correct for my application?

 

They are for 0-2" of lift. I have them on my truck with airbags in rear but stock front.
