Do they make one that goes into the channel for the Ex? I really dont want anything that is taped on, have heard its tough to get off.

Any brand better quality than others?

Thanks in advance

Yes. This is what I have on my Excursion. They're pretty nice.

(Less than $14 per window)

So these fit in the channel that the window travels up and down in, how are they held in place?

They look nice, but they look a little bulky.

They are shown in the image on a Suburban. They don't look as bulky on an Excursion.

The ones that stick on the exterior paint are terrible looking, IMHO.

Yes. They have two sided tape that sticks 'em inside the channel.

Once installed, they are held in place quite well.

I have the same ones as VaSheriff, put them on almost exactly 1 year ago. Wade is the brand, the tape holds very well once seated into the window channel. No complaints at all, really like em.

My PSD had the stick on ones on it when I got it. Since every single one of them had some amount of cracks and fragments hanging off, I started yanking them off so I wouldn't him my head on them. Since they were stuck onto the outer window seal up there, it tried to pull out the window seal (but granted there were no windows to hold it in). I wasn't trying to save them, so I wasn't using a putty knife or anything, but it still came off in a ton of little pieces.

I have 3 that are taped to the paint (they were the style on it when I bought it) and 1 to the window channel (driver door replacement when I broke it). I will be changing the other 3 as I am fortunate enough to break them. The foam doublesided tape comes of in a ton of tiny little pieces and I have some of it I am still trying to get off the driver door paint.

Do you get any wind noise with the window all the way up or are the "in channel" kind created with a seal for the window to keep out any leaking wind?

Mine are taped onto the exterior. I don't mind them, and find that htey give extra room for those who smoke, if you just crack the window and want to ash out of it. I had in channel before, and there's no just cracking the window, you don't have as much room. Look, there' snot much difference, in channel do look a little cleaner, but functionality, I like the on the top ones.
