Might be a blessing in disguise. A standard homeowners policy does not cover flood. You have to have special flood insurance for that.
However, a standard homeowners policy does cover fire damage.

Yup. A guy out west that had his camper washed got a picture of it drifting away on fire.(propane lines from his large keg tore off and ignited) no coverage for flood but full coverage for fire. :-)
