All my Ford trucks, A Photo Essay
#16
This was my first ford I bought. I paid 340$ for it. Had to do a lot of work on it to get it to that point. But it has been my most enduring project.
It looks like this now.
I bought this f350 for the axles.
Then I found this Crewcab. I had to stop several times on the way home for the motor to cool off. That has been fixed since then.
Next I bought this thing for the winch and bumper. Then sold it.
And here are two more
An 86 and 96 Cept I can't find a pic of the 86. Whoops.

Well I'll add a little to this....and just cover the Fords.
Primer grey 67 F100 with a swapped in 429 bought it when I was 15 that was in 1981.
Maroon/white 1973 240 6 cly 3 on the tree, yes 2wd and I mud bogged it at 16.
Ol Blue #1 at 351M 4 spd, bought it at 19, rolled it at 20, sold it at 21 and moved to Germany. Red 92 bought it in 93 after I came home from Germany.
After that it involves all kinds of Fords trucks and dates and times in my life, some better than others, so here is a snap shot. I know I missed a few but here is my current fleet lined up there, yes the bronco is a blast.

Mines pretty short because ive only had one truck. Its a 78 f250 custom 2wd 4spd. I bought it not running the summer between my junior and senior year of high school (im still a senior now, its only been a few months ) for $1100 and got it running, just needed a battery and fuselink). I drive it to school every day. Its the oldest (and coolest) vehicle in my school parking lot and every time I bring it into my auto shop class everyone stands around it and talks about it. Ive put some money into it, The usually plugs wires ect. and shocks and rearend lube. I just bought a performer 351m/400 intake and am looking for a 600cfm 4bbl edelbrock or holley to put on its 351m.

It always starts with one......and next thing you have is 8. Between DD, projects, woods rig, parts rigs and a resale rig, and I have enough parts to build at least 2 more.
Looking good, what exhaust changes you planning with that intake and carb up grade?
Headers? I'd get fenderwell exit IMO, less hassle with the routing of the pipes.

Mine is pretty short too, but I'll share anyway
I got my first truck, a '78 F250 from my dad when I was 13. He had bought it from the original owner in '92, and used it as a work truck for his contracting business. He worked the truck to the bones. The 351 it had got tired after a few years, so in '96 he had the engine built up. Stroked it to 400, got a 30 overbore, and got a nice, healthy cam for it. Matched up with the stock T18 and a 4.10 rear end, it could pull anything.
Fast forward to 2009. The truck had been sitting on our property unused since 2003ish. My mom wanted my dad to get rid of it, but he decided to give it to me. I had a notebook full of plans for it. I started to strip down the interior, and found a lot of rust in the floor, as well as a lot under the plastic bedliner. After much contemplating, I decided to bag the project. Over the last year or so I've been parting it out, and I only have the front clip and the rear axle/frame left.
I wish I could have kept the truck, because I love the color. The engine was a beast too.
Truck number 2: 1979 F250
I bought this truck shortly after I turned 14 for $650 with a bad engine. 1 year, 2 engines, and a lot of trouble later, I got a healthy 460 in (scored a sweet deal on it). The main cause of my headaches with the engine swap at the time was because I was learning as I went. I had never done anything more then oil or spark plug changes. I basically started going through and pulling bolts and seeing what happened.
Since I finished the engine swap, I've moved to body work. Interior is in the middle of being finished, and I'm starting on the exterior of the cab (Fnished the swap a few months after I turned 15, currently 16) Now for the pictures
Shortly after I got it
During the redneck engine swap (at the time I had no garage)
After engine swap, plus a few aesthetic additions
And this is what it looks like now, waiting for work.

It wasn't the greatest. Drivers door had big rust holes at the bottom, the bed had some nasty dents, both bumpers were rusty, and the paint was really faded. At the time I didn't know much about doing the repairs it needed, and so i just got rid of it. Looking back now, i probably could have done all the repairs it needed if i took the time to learn

This was my first dent. I put a 429 in it with hooker headers. I loved this truck and all the power it had. I sold to my brother and bought a Ford ranger. My brother drove it for a while and then traded it in on a toyota. I don't know what happened to it after that but I would love to still have it, even though it only got about 7 mpg's.
