Hey thanks guys for the input.

Lazon, the bumper is absolute toast, rusted out in the center to where it just may break in half if you stand on it.

Well oh well. Mine is probably in the same conditon. Going to the junk yard to see if I can find on that maybe is okay. I would honestly check scrapyards and stuff first. We had an 85' with a rusted out bumper and all the ones we found were near perfect.

JC WHitney: rear shocks and new rear leaf hanger, shackle kit. They have free shipping right now using the promo code WELCOME.
Amazon ordered new rear upper shock mounts and a locking gas cap.

Today We need to find the best place to order a 3g alt as the one in the truck is toast. Seems like RJM has the best deal on a 95 amp. Any input here would be great.
I would recommend getting a 130 amp alternator for a 95 F250 diesel. I did that swap on mine. Its a plug and play swap, and no more dim lights when the AC, wipers, and radio are on. I got a Delco Remy at Advance Auto. The cost is nearly the same as the 95 amp.

what we started with underneath the pretty exterior. We pulled the box and the gas tank to clean things up and give the truck another 17 years.

box is off

Mason grinding off rivet heads

Needle scaler at work, we did not find any really bad spots on the frame but is has lost a few pounds

New hanger brackets, shackles and leaf springs

new upper shock mounts

We have been using rustoleum brand rust converter then top coating with rustoleum industrial semi gloss black. Maybe not the as good as por15 or others but a major improvement and should hold up for a good while.

Will up load some more as we get them, new tank is on the way then we need to move the front.

As for the alt swap.. just switch to a single wire hookup alt.. Most Aftermarket HO alt companies make them. I got mine from Mechman.com and it included a new harness to plug into factory one. My voltage is at 15.1v cold and 14.8v hot

Truck is coming along nicely! What kinda paint did you use for the frame?

Just rustoleum rust convertor spray then rustoleum industrial semi gloss. Also using some valspar ford blue on a few items like the oil pan, shocks and whatever else he wants that color.

Thanks for the Alt info I will check out the website. We are gonna go pick around the junk one of these days.
