Great looking starter truck. When I was 15 my dad sold his '77 F Series and picked up a '89 Dakota for me. He said it was newer and a better vehicle for me to drive. We had all sorts of problems with that Dakota, he still 20 some years later says he never should have put me in that truck. Everyone has to love that 300 with man trans, its a great all purpose powertrain.

Here is the score I have for today, one of my good friends works at a huge scrap yard and he called this morning that an almost mint condition 92 f150 came in for scrap with a blown motor. Here is the list of what is pulling for me. Bummer to one go to the crusher for this. But good for our truck.
perfect front bumper (ours looks good but the lower edge is rusted bad)
lighted roof visor (looks good will need paint)
pass side mirror (ours rusted off)
bug deflector
side window rain guards tape on deals
mint hood (front lip on ours has rust holes)
and DING DING DING front and rear 3.55's then we can get bigger tires.

Looks great with the MOOG springs in there! Can't beat'em for the price!!! My impressions on front shocks; I just put new stock height Monroe gas Magnums on mine (about 2 weeks prior to CC844 springs). When I lifted up my truck to R&R the coils I noticed the shocks bottom out even with the stock springs! I had to put a tranny jack under the housing, jack it up some to unbolt the shock then lower it back down. Not a huge deal for me as my truck is not going to see a whole lot of extreme offroad use, that's what my early Broncos are for. However, next time I replace shocks up front I'll go with longer shocks to keep them from bottoming out on full droop up front. From my impression it would seem the stock height shocks are too short from the factory!

I agree but with 3.08's we wanted to maintain both power and MPG plus the 31's were about $45 more per tire.

Looks like the truck is coming along great! I remember when I bought mine last year, shortly after I bought my car (my baby!). Knowing I didn't want to drive the car in the winter, I decided on a truck. I was 19 at the time, and to be honest I still like puttsing around town in the truck more than the car. The car is more of a back road/highway missile.
