7.3l injector question

I was getting around 19-20mpg in my truck I recently had 4 objectors replaced now it gets around 11mpg and smells like raw diesel at idle. It has great power now but it is terrible on mpg. Is there a way to regulate fuel going to the objectors? Or is there maybe another issue?

Sounds like you're leaking fuel on top of the engine somewhere. Check the valley to see if there is a puddle of diesel on top of the engine.

You may have got a couple bad injectors that are leaking to much fuel into the cylinder

Also blows white smoke at idle. Smoke smells like diesel fuel as well. It done this before the injectors install I was told the newinjectors and glow plugs would solve this however the only thing the injector swap has done is give it more power and half the fuel economy.

White smoke is unburnt fuel. Does it go away after the truck warms up?

Lightensbut does not go away. It is only noticeable at idle. Driving down the road it is not noticeable.

Did you or someone else install the injectors?

Make sure the MAP sensor hose is connected, easy to forget after installing injectors ...

Make sure hose is not clogged, especially at engine intake side. Have you tried unplugging the MAP electrical connection to verify MAP is working properly? You will need to take it for a spin and you will get a CEL light but it will go away when you plug it back in. If things run much better then sensor or hose is defective.

Any chance you have or can borrow a scanner to watch real time data, that would help isolate things quickly.

Yes the MAP sensor is over your AC blower it had a 3 wire plug and a hose going to it. Unplug the electrical connection take it for a ride and if it run better then the sensor is bad
