carb help
I have a eldelbrock 600 on a 302; this morning I went to the store and smelled gas but ignored it, when I try starting the truck it wouldn't start. I floored it and it finally started up, after getting back home I check to see where the gas may be coming from and there is a leak from one of the screws on the electric chock side, could flooding cause this or is something elses wrong witht he carb, It's remanufactured by edelbrock with 110 miles on it.

By holding throttle to floor to get it to start is an indication of flooding. Question is the cause of this. Float level adjustment, crack in carb body itself. Visable leak to the outside could be gasket or crack from overtightened screws. If still under warranty, I'd contact them for possible replacement.
