Maybe all the weight is aft of the axles and it's trying to lift the back of the truck? NOT!!

It wouldn't sit still smoking the tires but gradually pull away, you could watch the speedometer climb a lot faster than the truck was moving, keep in mind that 14.000+ wasn't all sitting on the truck.

Not doubting your load, mine is right up there too. I'm just saying making a claim of roasting the tires while loaded is worthy (if not mandatory) of a video to back up such claim. So let's see it!

It's also a time bomb for finding the weakest link in your drive train.
And by Murphy's law you'll find it at the least oportune time. Not necesarily while the abuse is being done.

I'm getting the sense that your 6.7 just hasn't given you the thrill that a good 6.0 can give?
The only part too ever give up was a turbo blue boot that burst while towing to Talladega while cruising at 90 mph. Free tow to the dealership and they pulled one off of a brand new truck and got me back underway. The original pipe and hose was a weak link and they were changed out under a TSB. So YA finding the weak link isn't always a bad thing.

I'm lucky that I bought an early 04 production model with the better EGR system. Never an issue with DELTA's, no need for mods and upgrades. I still have all original injectors clicking right along, original CPU and the thermostat still maintains 192 degrees. How many 150.000+ mile 6.0s can say that.

I had my 6.0 for 10 years till Ford bought it back. Wasn't disappointed in the 6.0, just couldn't keep turbos on it. Def. not disappointed in the 6.7 either. Don't care what you drive there's only a certain amount of abuse any machine will take.

Back to the subject, my 6.0 wont burn the tires from a dead stop. Havent really tried rolling first, then mashing it either.

I have put it on the floor to pass a handful of cars on the highway and was well impressed with the power, but I wasn't sliding sideways.

The other day I pulled out of my buddies drive and power braked it til my 285s lit up. Burned both back tires and its an open diff lol.

But then again, Im in an Excursion and not a light rear end truck. Whats the chances the OP still has this truck anyhow being this thread is 4 years old lol

I pulled into a freshly graveled parking lot to turn around and couldn't move after stopping due to spinning the wheels, I had to put it in 4 wheel drive to backup and pull out. Just too much torgue for the duels sitting on top of the fresh gravel, and I was empty, no trailer.

I believe your massive torque delivery could be reduced by putting tranny in second.

A lot of the issue in a case like that may be related to the sheer weight. My SRW CC FX4 came across the scales at 8,250 lbs. not good in the loose stuff at all.

Having dinkycar size 245/75/16s lets the tires spin on take off way too often.

good thought on weight..

I have a "Alaska" tuff shell on the back of mine..
(core is 3/4" not standard 1/2 or 5/8's...)

from a stand still I can chirp and smoke on dry pavement..

Can also make girlfriend **** herself when I do this

The trucks like mine with 4:10 gears and an automatic tranny will spoolup a lot faster than the 3:73 gears that came in most of the F350s.
