BTW that is a beautiful truck and travel trailer.
Thank you sir!

I have had F250, F350SRW, F350DRW, and now I have F450.

I think the new trucks with both vehicle and trailer stability control have taken some but not all of the DRW advantages.

The DRW's are noticeably lower to the ground than SRW's because they ride on 17" wheels with relatively small tires. Lower center of gravity plus much wider base means the vehicle is inherently more stable.

I have had a couple of OMG moments towing my 5th wheel with the 08 F250 when the rear suspension bottomed. I am not the type to re-engineer the suspension with an add on air bag.

Also-the DRW's are not as wide as your 5th wheel. If you can drive OK towing something that is 102" wide the DRW won't bug you. It won't take long to adjust to the extra wide rear end....even on the truck!!

I understand your point. However, it is a reach to say that air bags constitute re-engineering. They have been used for many years with satisfactory results. Does Ford recommend against their use?

I want to thank everyone for their experience and information, your information was valuable, and my wife and I will be happy with the truck.

I have just completed the order using the Z-plan and the truck has been configured as follows:
2012 F350 4X4 Crew/C 156" wheelbase, 6.7 PSD with 6 speed auto, Platinum White Metallic Tri-coat w/two-tone adobe accent, Black Leather Interior.
Lariat Ultimate, Chrome package, 3.55 Axle ratio Elocking, FX4 off-road package, 20" tires, All-weather floor mats, Rapid supp. heat, block heater, roof clearance lights, power moon roof, chrome cab steps, extra heavy-duty alternator, upliffter switch, Navigation system, memory group, remote start, heated/cooled seats, body side molding, keyless entry, rear view camera, tail-gate step, chrome alum wheels 20", line-X, 5th wheel prep., reverse aid sensor, Sync System.

Base Price w/Options $63,765
Z-Plan price $55,837 less incentives.

I will install the following before picking up the trailer:
Firestone wireless air-bag system
Pull-Rite Auto Slider 5th wheel hitch
Titan Replacement Tank (50 gallon)

Again, I thank everyone for their help.
