If you say that CC gets there stuff from DC, how can they sell it for that much less? Hey, I don't know, I can only go by what I see. Lord knows I've been screwed before.
DC wholesales their repopped parts to the other parts vendors. How much of a discount is given off their MSRP? I haven't a clue.

When one figures the amortized costs, DC prolly has less than 100 bucks invested in the entire long bed set!

Back when these old rolling piles of misery were new, the dealer markup from their net cost was 42% for all a these mouldings, and...

That was when the most expensive one a these mouldings had a MSRP of circa 25-30 bucks...and were made in the US of A.

Yea Bill, I agree with what your saying, I can't believe DC is paying much more than that for a set now. Also can't help to think he is making at least 500% on a set. I can't blame some one for wanting to make a little $$$ on what they have but I'm so tired of people thinking some of this stuff is worth what they are asking. Sad. I could see if some of this stuff was 'one of a kind' but these trucks are far from that.
As far as my trim goes, I want it anodized. I don't have the time to go out and wax my truck every week and I live on the coast with all the dampness. The truck lives outside and I don't have the money to build a house just for it so anodizing is the way to go for me. Thus the reason I want to find another anodized front grill also.

When I spoke to Rick (Carolina Classics) once about these moldings he had told me that DC makes some of them, and he makes (well, has made) some of them. This arrangement seems truly odd, but that is the story I got. So perhaps the deal back and forth between the two vendors isn't quite even when it comes to the costs charged.

I am looking for the same mouldings for our 66 250. Called C & G and they do not have any in stock and havent heard from their supplier (DC?) since August. What about NPD? Their set in the catelog is $649.00 + tax/shipping. Anyone know who there supplier is?

Cal250, ya got me there for a minute, a good part of my educational background is in Social and Behavioral Science. So when you mentioned NPD, it got my attention right away. Course you're not thinking about the MPD I was.

Well...I drive a Lexus on the weekdays, but like to take the F250 out on the weekends, so it's sort of like I have two personalities. My wife and I disagree as to whether it is a disorder or not.

Bed Moldings for 65-66 F100

I know this is an old thread but I was reading it and just wanted to make sure other readers know that Carolina Classics is the sole maker for the 65-66 F100 moldings. I've actually been there and seen the process take place. The reason everyone else is higher then Ricks @ CC is because he wholesales to them. I was by there the other month and seen the process cause he just finished making a big inventory of them. I asked if I could take pictures, so if I can get them on here you'll see yourself.

Bodyside mouldings are 1965/66 F100/250 Stylesides, not just F100.

Sorry if you read it the wrong way. But yes Rick @ Carolina Classics is the sole manufacturer of the molding for F100, F250 & F350. He has moldings for the regular cab and quad cab trucks, long bed and short bed. I know he has plenty in stock now.

That could be true, but in my case, it's when you get too old and have brain farts, and can't remember the name so you ask your grandson what those 4 door trucks are called.
