Rear Parking sensor problem

I know there's tons of pages regarding parking sensor problems, but mine is a little different from what info I can find.

When I put the truck into reverse the parking sensor button does not illuminate to the off position as most do when there is a fault. It stays active. If I unplug a sensor or the speaker the light will reset and illuminate the off light on the button. I am getting voltage to each parking sensor but not hearing any ticking sound from any of them.

Is the control module not picking up a problem with a bad sensor or do I just need to replace the sensors.

Not quite sure which step to take first.

Thanks
