DFW Area specifically Collin County Area Mechanic?
Hello All,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
<o></o>
Just curious if you know of a local Powerstroke mechanics in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comffice:smarttags" /><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Collin</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">County</st1:PlaceName> or <st1lace w:st="on">North Dallas</st1lace> area? My truck won't start and I am going to have to have it towed somewhere. I am in the Frisco area, so worst case I can take it to Bankston, but would like to use an indpendent shop for my work. I hate the dealer, but will use them if I have to.<o></o>
<o></o>
Its a 05, I seem to think its an fuel related issue, but just happen this morning so until after work I won't have time to look into things yet. My batteries are now dead, so that will be 1st on the agenda once I get home today.<o></o>

<o></o>
Thanks again,<o></o>

Well I didn't find anybody, but didn't look to hard either. Was a good excuse to purchase an Auto Enginuity system.
Well it seems that I have/had two problems, the first being bad batteries, which were caused by or caused the FICM to die. I will send it off for repair. I sure would like to meet the engineer who though the placement of this module was in a "good" place!
Not sure how much of my skin I left all over every sharp object, but felt light headed with the blood loss!
I don't mind working on my own truck, but nice to have a person to take it too if I need, so my question still stands for a good diesel mechanic around Plano / Frisco.
