05 5.4 Exhaust manifolds/Hardware

Hi Guys, My Buddies 5.4 is going to need exhaust manifolds, it also has some broken studs. I see Dorman is now offering the manifolds and hardware. What I'm wondering is if these are improved from the OE? Are the Ford replacements any better that the originals? This truck only has 50,000 miles and it has had one manifold replaced under warranty a few years ago. After the exhaust I have to do the spark plugs and from what I see the Champion replacements look like the way to go????. I'm not worried about the cost of the parts, I want to make this last as long as possible. Any thoughts?? Thanks Guys

Most on this board stand by the Motorcraft brand of plugs as the best for modular motors. Autolite seems to be a close second choice too. There is a bit of a best prodedure for removing and re-installing plugs into aluminum heads so a bit of reading here might help if you're not already familar with this aspect.

Exhaust manifold wise I can't help at all since I've never experienced any problems on my '00 5.4 gasser, currently at 256K miles.
