Has anyone on the board had to reprogram the Lear Car2u unit? WOW, this is sure different than the Home-Link units.
When one pushes to two outside buttons...yes in about 20 seconds the 3 lights flash 3 or 4 times, but if you hold the same two outside buttons longer, in about 5 more seconds they flash 3 to 4 times again, then go out. Still can't get a garage door to pair up. With the Home-Links....no problem.

 

Have been going thru dealer and Lear trying to get this working on an older Genie unit. Lear tried to get me to buy a new receiver. When I didn't agree they sent me a receiver no cost. Installed it, programmed and it works only intermitantly and when I am up against the door. Dealer and Ford CRC have been giving me the run-around. Ford Corp just told me Ford will not replace the visor unit and to see Lear. They sent a garage door tech out to verify that the problem is with the Lear unit. Lear then referred me back to the dealer who tells me that they are waiting to hear from Ford. Vehicle is now almost one year old and I would like to see a class-action suit initiated, but whatever. I also have a problem with my "message center" also after having the dealer re-flash the computer after installing a 50 gal. tank, but that is another storyyyyyyyy.
