Need Original Canopy Info.

I remember back in the 70's. Don't remember if it started in 73 or not but, There was an aftermarket white fiberglass canopy that was offered as an option from Ford for the 73-79 pickups. all I remember specifically was the emblem that was close to the cab on each side of the canopy. actually saw one the other day at PULL A PART in Lynnwood, Wa. unfortunately the badges were unreadable and it was covered in moss. any info or pics would be appreciated.

Here's mine.

I painted the silver on the canopy myself to give the truck nicer lines.

it isnt aftermarket. its a ford accessory piece complete with light and wiring.

available in white, color matched with a the lower bodyline painted truck color, and a basic version with no vent or opening windows.

There were 2 versions and I believe they were made by Ford with a compass emblem attached to it located just behind cab..

The regular and deluxe.

The reg:fixed windows with light inside rear door

Deluxe Like mine shown above:
Roof vent, sliding screened windows, light inside rear door

Here is the emblem.

The compass emblem was a symbol Ford used for 'recreation vehicles' (see my avatar).

I've been looking for another one of these caps for 3 years...

I gave all my emblems away years ago, I do see orphan canopies from time to time though. the one I have left is pretty worn, but its all there (except the emblems)

free to a good home, near Branson Mo.

73-76.5 had round locks on the windows, 76.5 -79 had elongated locks on the windows.
