No Jim, you are not crazy. It's just easy to get creeped out by gross extravagance. The only cure is to just say, What the hell?

Things change, people change, ideas start to look bad, who knows. My dad bought a rebuilt GMC M135 which had been "civilianized" by the now defunct Wittenberg Motors in Tacoma or there abouts. He bought it sometime in '66 to '70 or so. It sat right where he parked it with the 52 miles on the odo until sometime after he died in 1997. It had the rubber and brakes taken off it to support the other GMC he had. It had a 5 speed Clark in it, and the military trim trucks were automatics. I think, amongst other things, the drive home with that miserable non-synchro trans turned him on it, along with the prospect of building it into another S&^* tanker. I think he realized he wasn't going to make as much money doing that as he thought. Anyway, I'm pretty sure it was hauled to the scrap heap after the farm was cleared out following the drug bust of the guy running it after my dad passed. Stuff happens, bizarre stuff that no one understands. That '71 was probably purchased with a million mile plan, only to be hidden away for fear of wearing it out too soon, or due to illness or rejection of the plan. What?. OK, that is all.

GMC135, what a cool vehicle. I like the description on this ad 'not completely roadworthy, it was running when parked'. (in '84)

Wow, such a deal for only $3,500! And it has "only" been sitting for 31 years!

Where do I sign?

Only driven to church on Sundays.

I wonder if my neighbors would object to that parked in my yard?

Gail, I'm certain of it too. And the bed of that thing would make a great planter box. I would make Carol climb up there and weed it.

A wonderful daily driver me thinks. Would not have to worry about anyone cutting me off. And I bet I could park pretty much anywhere I choose too. LOL

Gotta kick outta this quote:

Let's be clear, the models pictured with the vehicles are paid for the express purpose of showing off and presenting the vehicles.
They are not included with the sale of the vehicles or available to go with them at any point during the presentation online.

In other words, Models Not Included
