Has anyone repaired a solenoid pack for a E4OD?

Has anyone repaired a solenoid pack for a E4OD?
I am replacing the solenoid pack in my 95 F350 7.3 PSD E4OD.

Has anyone attempted to repair (not replace) the solenoid? Does anyone know what the failure(s) of the pack usually are or have torn into one?
