Leaving today. DOn't know where I am going. Connie is going with me. Looking forward to just a drive to get away from all of the bs that surrounds us at each turn. Maybe go to Canada for a few weeks. That sounds like fun, take a bare-*** shower under the lower falls. Been a while. Wonder if the park service has found that one yet. It was still there ten years ago.

Wow even October seems to be flying by. I'm thinking about getting in one last mini vacation before it gets too cold.
We've decided to take a two day trip to the Columbus Zoo this coming weekend, Oct 22-23. We've been to the Knoxville Zoo several times during our Gatlinburg visits and also to the North Carolina Zoological Park, usually making a day of it on our way to the beach every year.
We have never been to the Columbus Zoo but it looks interesting, it's not that far of a drive and admission is relatively cheap.
Has anyone had any experience there that might be able to give any advice on what to do or not to do while we are there? I'd hate to spend extra money on something we wouldn't enjoy when we could spend some extra time someplace more family friendly. It will be myself, my wife, 13 yo daughter and a similarly aged friend of hers going.
Looks like the water park is closed for the season and it's expensive so it's out. Any must see locations? Or any "avoid at all costs" situations I should be aware of?
Anyway, hope everyone's week has been good to them so far and everyone enjoy the quickly approaching weekend!
Thanks for any advice
