Thanks Lucas. It is a bummer. It'll be tough watching someone drive it away. Hoping I can sell it too someone who will really appreciate it.
I actually want snow now lol i like driving in it. As much as i say i hate snow i really hate salt. I would prefer new england over anywhere else....if they stopped with the salt and liquid crap i would love it even more lol.
Plus we have wicked funny accents guy! Mine doesnt come out until I've had a few though lol.

I was rather upset to find out the city of Fairbanks has started using a Brine. I did not know this until i drove up there and found my truck covered in salt! Made me really happy to get back home where we do it the right way..gravel/sand only!

How is that effective.... I thought salt didn't work because its to cold?
I've heard that saying before and have always found it pretty silly. Perhaps the only time I've ever needed 4WD to get down the road was the 0430 trip to the hospital when my son was born.
Four wheel drive is nice to have, but definitely not necessary on packed snow. I often wish they wouldn't salt the roads, but I think that would make the traffic issues over here much worse.

Its doest, that's what makes it even more stupid. When i was up there it had cooled from 20F days to high temps of 5F above or less. On the warmer days it had melted the snow and ice on the city streets and then froze up when it got cold enough the brine would no longer work. this caused the streets to be like a hot mopped ice ring with intersections being the absolute worst. They have seen a spike in crashes and fatal ones at that since implementing it and nobody i talked to likes it. It would be much safer if they left it alone and sanded where needed.

I agree with you on that one. I personally don't put the trucks into 4x4 until the rear wheels start spinning (except the envoy because it has street tires). I like having 4x4 but I use it once or twice each year in each vehicle.
In all the time I have had my explorer only time I have put it in 4x4 was when I was testing it out. So far only used 2wheel and that is with street tires.
