Oil Filler Neck

Hey guys, quick question...

I have a '92 302 5.0L - everything stock. Does the oil filler neck come out or twist off? Is there way to remove it? I'm removing and repainting the valve covers and I wanted to put on an old school breather cap.

IIRC, the filler neck is welded to the valve cover and isn't removable.

It's at least crimped in, so it is not removable without damage.

With a little breather hose modification you can use the covers off an 85-86 efi motor, it did not use a neck, it use a two tab style cap.
