Come cause for high or eratic idle is the IAC. (idle air control) As for the misfire, when was the last time the spark plugs were changed?

What brand of plugs are in it?
If they're not Motorcraft or Autolite it's time to change them again. Ford modular engines don't run well with other than Motorcraft or Autolite.

Check the connectors on top of the injectors, when we did the spark plugs on my brother in laws truck after spiting a plug, he or I bumped a connector on top of one of them didnt think anything about it. Went out for a drive after the plug change and had a miss. The clip that locks the connector down on the injector broke and that caused the miss by not firing the injector. Just something to check. Ended up zip tying it down.(redneck) Good luck and let us know what it was when you find it.
