Sludge!

My 2000 Ex had to have a motor replaced in the spring of this year. After a week or so I was noticing a small leak under the front of the truck. It was a tan color, upon further investigation, I found that the coolant reservoir was about half full of a milky tan colored substance that appeared to be a combination of oil and antifreeze. I called the shop that did the motor replacement and was informed that the most likely cause of this was a bad oil cooler and that this was causing the oil and antifreeze to mix and collect in the coolant reservoir. So I bought a new oil cooler, flushed the cooling system and installed the new oil cooler about 4 months ago. I had been monitoring this since that time and everything seemed to be fine until today when once again I have discovered that there is a tannish colored sludge in the coolant reservoir. It also seems to be leaking from the bottom of what seems to be the radiator. Upon checking the oil it was low and was the expected golden brown color. Can anyone give me some direction as to what this might be?

Did the shop give you a warranty with the new engine? Sounds like it could be a head gasket. How does it run?
