Can anyone give me any onfo on a 352 "thunderbird" motor?
it isn't out of a thunderbird car, just says thunderbird on the valve covers. I was told it was some sort of hi-po motor. can anyone help me out with this? I don't have # yet but will get them soon. thanks--Greg

They are nothing really special, just a marketing scheme.

Some were high-performance engines but it had nothing to do with the valve covers, post some numbers.

It seems like my 352 in my '60 T-Bird just said FORD on the valve covers ( last year for 352 in T-Bird ). I think all the 352's and 390's in the early 60's had THUNDERBIRD stamped in them. Back then they used to color code a lot of the engines ( I think 352's were always black ). The only high performance 352 was the 360 HP in '60. The engine was black with red valve covers.

I have had a few Galaxie's and I have found that if it has the engine size with the bird wings on the fender emblems then it will have a motor that has the thunderbird valve covers, if the emblems only has the engine size without the bird wings behind it then the valve covers will say FORD, just my 2 cents worth. The 390 t-bird motor is the most common, and I am not sure how you are telling that it is a 352?
