Ok, im going to look into a code reader, I understand alot of people here like Equis but there are different ones, and I want it to give me as much data as possible, imperial and metric or what ever these things can do, now I am looking at at least three different ones and want to know what you guys and gals suggest for OBD1 (keep in mind I would prefer it be able to do both OBD1 and OBD2 as I also take care of my partners car at times and I want to be able to read that also...plus future proof it for any OBD2 cars I may acquire in the future...link to what im considering, does any one have either of these and can you tell me the pros and cons for each?
are the Actron and mt2500 better then what I have listed, if so how? also whats the difference between the ones you guys are suggesting and the ones I listed? I want the most bang for the buck!
also if I get the MT2500 what cartrage will I need and what adapters/hook ups will I need?
I have a INNOVA #3145 Equus I bought it at Oriely's I was less than $35.00 tax lic. and out the door here in Taxifornia.
Good luck
That is the one I use if I just want to read codes on the OBD-I system but he wanted more that a code reader.
He wants one that will read OBD-II system also and give more information than just codes.
The CP9190 will do all of that and here is an example of the extra information.
