Code reader assistance

Ok, im going to look into a code reader, I understand alot of people here like Equis but there are different ones, and I want it to give me as much data as possible, imperial and metric or what ever these things can do, now I am looking at at least three different ones and want to know what you guys and gals suggest for OBD1 (keep in mind I would prefer it be able to do both OBD1 and OBD2 as I also take care of my partners car at times and I want to be able to read that also...plus future proof it for any OBD2 cars I may acquire in the future...link to what im considering, does any one have either of these and can you tell me the pros and cons for each?

As I said above that is what I use when I want more information.
If not I just use a code reader or count the flashes of the MIL.

That is the one I use if I just want to read codes on the OBD-I system but he wanted more that a code reader.
He wants one that will read OBD-II system also and give more information than just codes.
The CP9190 will do all of that and here is an example of the extra information.

Actron® Here is a link to the features of the one posted by subford. Very nice. Compare it to the ones you posted to see if they are as good.
