This effing SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stolen right from my work's parking lot in broad daylight!!!! No one saw it and I didn't notice it until I left at 4:30...

I have put a LOT of work in this truck over the past few months - I mean a TON. My #1 helper (son) is more upset than me!!!!!!!

He wanted this to be his first vehicle when he turned 16!!! The more I talk about this the more I remember things that we've done - the list keeps growing!!!

I can't even describe how I feel right now... I want to do serious physical damage to someone!!!!

That's not a bad idea. The cop taking the report was convinced it was stolen for parts. It's in great shape!! I mean, there are a few Lexus and a Caddy in the parking lot - why weren't those taken???

2006 Chevy 2500 HD, 2006 F-150 both parked right next to me...

No...they take the biggest truck in the lot!!!

I can't afford a new truck payment - hence, why I drive a long paid-off 2002!! However, I am gonna have to replace it with something!!

Now I need to educate myself on all the issues with all the other trucks so I know what to avoid for the new truck. Seems I've seen a lot of guys have issues with the 6.0 diesel...

If anyone has any advice for what to look at and what to avoid, please let me know

That sucks, man. A buddy of mine had his Tacoma stolen a few years ago and got it back after about a month. Everything still in it and all in one piece, just a few more miles on it. I hope that this turns out good for you. Good luck.

That brings up an interesting point. I am waiting for the adjuster to call to let me know how long I need to wait until they consider it a total loss. Yes, I have full coverage.

If they cut me a check and THEN find the truck - what happens? I guess the insurance company takes it at that point?

I would discuss that with them. If they pay you then find it you may be able to buy it back. I will not post what I think should be done to car theifs.

IIRC, his insurance co. already cut the check. They gave him the option to buy it back or let the ins. co. keep it. He bought it back.

I'm a retired policeman and I've seen a few stolen SD. Man I hope it's just a couple of joyriders and it's been left in some parking lot somewhere. As the guys said. The more exposure your able to give it the better your chances of getting it back. Don't give up.
