Which Chip settings?

Which Chip settings?
Hey guys,
Im going to be putting in Stage 1's pretty soon, and was wondering what chip settings I should use for a TW chip or PHP chip? I'm only going to get 3 settings. For the TW chip, I was thinking Economy, Heavy Tow, and extreme. For the PHP, I have a hard time choosing since there is a bunch of settings to choose from, any input would be helpful. I have a 5spd and tow 3 horses alot.

Thats with the intercooler ya? Without an intercooler I think my temps would sky rocket. Im hoping that a tow or heavy tow setting will help keep the temps down while towing.

Ya, that's with the IC. I agree with you, a good tow setting would be better without an IC to keep your temps down.
Once you get those ones and chip in there, when you're towing I bet you talk yourself into putting the IC on as soon as you can. You'll have sooo much more power and not be able to use it all very well!!
Then when towing especially, you may notice your hpop isn't big enough to keep up too. That's what happened to me.

Might as well get 6. More to play with. I had high idle, tow, econ, 100 hp 140 and smoke on my php. The were great tunes. Stayed in 100 most of the time. The hpop couldn't keep up with the 140. The smoke had alot of timing and would pull hard in bottom end but hp was a hair lower on the dyno. Now im running gearhead tunes with the split shots. Great tunes as well and good drivabilty. Same setup with tunes. Just replaced smoke with stock more less. TW and PHP are both great tuners. Can't go wrong either way you choose.

I just don't see myself using all 6 positions. I figure 3 positions, one for everyday driving, towing, and one for fun.
TW makes it easier to choose settings ie. tow, economy, etc...
PHP theres too much choices, 60hp tow, 80hp tow, 80hpdaily, etc...
But it is nice to know the hp settings.

Php came with 6 for the same price I think. Nice to have the stock and high idle in there as well though. Especially because of the stage ones. But tow econ and performance is plenty. I had the 60hp tow. Never ran it as I just pulled with the 100hp performance. But I also have a 5 speed. So I could control temps and such a little easier. It was hard to get hot with 90cc aa's lol.

Tony told me his heavy tow is designed for automatics and you don't need it for a stick shift. I have my own idle controller so I got stock, econo, tow and extreme. Tow is my best power and economy on the highway. Econo is best around town. I never use the other two any more and even with almost 40,000 pounds behind me in tow my egt never got over 1300 even up the side of the worst canyon between here and corpus. I think it was an 8% grade.
