I don't have curb weight figures on a '57, but for a '51 F-6 stakebed on 158" wheelbase the curb weight is right at 6000 lbs. Should be no problem. Stu

Okay. Thanks. I'm sure it's not as heavy as what I hauled the other day. This was stupid but I got away with it without hurting anything.

Last I heard is $800. And every single one of us have jumped at that. But then we sit there and do the math in our head with the cost of fuel, travel, time, replacing the widowmakers, etc. and it makes me want to pass. But this keeps popping up. I sure do wish somebody closer would buy this one.

Hey guys... sorry for being MIA on this... our laptop at home is down so I'm looking at FTE when I can. The truck is back for sale as of yesterday afternoon. He had agreed on $750 with a local guy but the guy was a no show on pick up day. Price is firm as he figures he can get $800 scrap value.

Stu, it probably is an F600.

Thanks for the interest guys. I really think this is a good one. If any of you come in to buy this I'll throw in a Model T ride down Old Route 66 for whatever that's worth!

I about choked on my drink when I read that.
If I wasn't so broke at the moment I would be there tomorrow.

I feel your pain Joe as I also have no dough! I can picture this truck with a nice flatbed with wood stake rack hauling my Ford 2N tractor.

I talked to the owner this afternoon. I'm going to try to get over there and take a look at it. I'm only about 100 miles or so away. If it's as decent as it sounds like it is and seems like it will make the trip home OK, it'll be saved and my crusty old '57 Chevy grain truck will die instead. That just breaks my heart. HA!
