F250 walks all over the road

Much apologies Stewart ..... Ball joints are all tight, I did all the tests on those. Track bar joint is new and bushing replaced, pitman arm good, u-joints all good and greased..... It has no slop in the steering and turns when I want it to turn and comes back when I want it to come back.... But when I turn onto a street and let go of the wheel
For it to spin around back to center , it barely wants to try to return to center and I have to turn the steering wheel to center myself.... It's not hard to turn either, power steering is great and booster is great..... It's almost like my rubberband won't unwind once I whined it up.... Metaphorically speaking

No apologies necessary. I just didn't want you to think I was letting Drake know the thread age in a negative manner. I just wanted him to know it was old so he would understand the OP had probably already fixed the problem.
At least I hope he fixed the problem!! LOL!

Done. That's all I needed to hear. I've been thinking about red head. It use to steer and return to center just fine and just recently it started doing this slowly over the past few months after I put bigger tires on it. No lift ,
No leveling kit. Just heavier tires on stock rims. It's gotta be the gear box. Red head is gettin ordered tomorrow morning and overnighted and put on.

the only other thing that I can think that would cause sluggish return, would be ball joints binding & thats almost always from improper installation when new.to check you have to pop both outer tie rods from spindles & pivot spindles, should be some resistance but should be able to move with one hand.
