I'll post pix of quite a few mods I have done. The first, or most recent, is the brake system, a hydro unit with a 92 C3500 master, to go with the Saginaw p/s, 4x discs.

And then I should post a pic of the 750 cfm Qjet going on my I6. An inline with the hp of a 390, and 50% better mileage ... who whould have thought. The tiny primaries of the Q.jet got me 3 mpg better than my 500 Edelbrock! And the performance is a tad better too.

I'd also like to mention the 3400 cfm cooling fan, a dual set up with motors wired independently so if one frys I can still limp home.

Changing to the I6 was one of the best things I have done. I love all the room under the hood. With the mods I did I still have all the power of the 390, and get 17 mpg on the highway. If I ever put in my ZF trans, I should be happily hitting 20 mpg.

The bends in those tubes look crazy! That's so they are equal length correct?? Do you get better performance with equal length? I never understood the point of them....

Actually, you got it wrong too if you look in the next sentance it says they and header is singular. In my post it was supposed to be tubes not headers but I got ahead of myself and typed headers instead

Well, Burt has a new Red Head steering gear box and a new heater core! I've already posted threads with a link to pics of the projects. As for the LATEST addition.... It is a fresh coat of wax, and a detailed interior
I spent all day doing that and then took him for a drive up here on the mountain and decided on this photo op. Burt liked it.

The job was $500. I removed the old seat (Pictured) and took it to a local upholstery shop that has a good reputation for resorting vintage car interiors.

The nice thing was when the seat was being worked on I could clean up the interior of my truck and vacuum everything.
