Help ID'ing Glove Box Plate

Based on the serial# you posted here is what it tells us
9= 1949 or 1950
8R= it was equipped with a 239 cu in flathead V8 (8BA or 8RT)
y= f-3 3/4 ton Heavy Duty
501434= production # This high number indicates that it is actually a 1950
There should be stampings in the upper firewall that will give you more info. The exact location of those stampings varied depending on which plant the truck was built in.
BTW, the data plate in the glove box is NOT the 'legal' identifier. That same number should be stamped into the pass side frame rail near the radiator. The frame number is what must match the title.
