Recently aquired a 76 f250 with a dana70 rear end which is fine with me. I am just trying to figure out what the truck was set up for. It has what appears to be stock height leafs with a couple extra in there. Also has coilovers and a swaybar......Pulling truck? Mud racer? Certainly not set up for rocks.... Whatever it was the old motor was chained to the frame

Any thoughts?

 

If the rear axle is set back towards the rear of the truck more than usual, it sounds like it's a Super Camper Special.

 

ohhhhhhhhhh how else would i tell? its reg cab long bed

 

4x4 also, whuch would make it a camper special?

As far as anything else about them, I have no idea.

 

there were no super camper specials (extended wheelbase)on a f250 (3/4 ton chasi) and there were no 4x4 camper specials that said to my knowlage no f250's came with dana 70 rears i beleive that was a after thought of someones's
