Howling at 45-60 mph

Here's one for you all...My 99 F-350 will consistently howl between 45-60. It is most noticable when I'm just coasting along. It does not change with engine speed, or transmission gear. It does not change if my hubs are locked or if I am in FWD. It is not horribly loud, but it is recent. My solution so far has been to drive at 75 and turn the radio up, but I would like to figure it out. My brother says it's probably the Pinion Gear, but it does not sound like it is coming from the back. Whaddaya think?
