This thing is pretty cool looking. Turning would be a real challenge and I am not real sure how the rider fits on there. Interesting for sure.

I'd like to see more of it from different angles.. looks like the only way it could be steered would be leaning in the direction you want to go but that looks difficult...

I'm thinking there must be some give to the track , just enough to steer. I tried looking to see if I could find any other pictures of it but no luck..

snowcruiser

I first learned about it in a fictional book where the antagonist just happened across a guy retrofitting it at the exact moment he needed a vehicle capable of traversing Antarctica. In reality, it's still buried in the snow down there

Years back, I was in Mainland China a few times a year. Drove up next to these fellows one day. Front Wheel drive and a single steel spine down the center for a frame. There were a lot of them.

I worked in China for 4 years and saw lots of these. No radiator, they had a water reservoir right on top of the head and as it ran it boiled off the water to keep cool. This one is a fancy one, it has a steering wheel. Many that I saw just had a long handlebar that turned the whole assembly. It looked like a big rototiller pulling a sort of pick up truck.
