grille guard for a van

Does anyone know where I can find a grille guard for a 1989 Ford E-350? I am not having any luck searching the net. I have a retired ambulance that I am converting into a weather research vehicle. I am wanting to find something for the front that would help protect it, and could also be used possibly for moving disabled vehicles, ect. after severe weather events.

I also have an ambulance that I am fixing up for various purposes. The only thing I've been able to find that would work for me is to get a grill guard from a truck in Mexico (I live near the border) and have it welded on.

A metal fabricator might be your best bet. Failing that, try a truck wrecking yard, ask if they have a suitable front bumper....

I am not familiar with the E-line of vans, but are they close to being the same grille, etc, as a F-Series? You might be able to use one from a truck - maybe having to modify the brackets?!?!

I will check around and see what I find for the E-Lines, see waht pops up...

The frame of the E-150 is wider than the F-150. There are custom applications just for the E series, they are tougher to find.

This site carries push bumpers:

Look under bumper/ford

www.lynnladder.com
They do not have them in their online catalog, I am pretty sure they are carried in their paper catalog for vans.

yo, We have the Police/Military Setina Push Guard on our 96 Bronco; see Galley for a pic or two.
http://www.setina.com/
Cost is under $200.00 and they are air bag compatible.

AIM, where did you get your pushbar and how much was it? I kinda like the PB300 unit.

yo BlueHawk,
I bought the Pushbar directly from the manufacturer, Setina. it was Under $170.00 incl. s&h back in 97.
http://www.setina.com/
Give em a call to see if that model is available for your year and model.
The Push bar does work well and is airbag compatible (which many other so-called pb's aren't guaranteed to be).
be well!
